I found this vertebral column hanging in a tree. I think it’s from a deer. I’ve actually found these deer skeletons hanging in trees all around this area on many occasions. I’ve been told that wildcats (maybe bobcats) of some sort carry them up there.
This is... orangutan fur? (Not as far-fetched as it sounds--in temperature and humidity, it was basically Borneo out there today).
Joking aside, I really don't know what this is. A... lichen? A fungus? No clue.
