On the rose the bug was mauve. Later, when it was in a container, the bug was brown.

This moth seems to have different wing markings to others I have seen. Different in pattern and colour.
It has noticeable creamy yellow and pinky /red which I have not seen on any others.
There have been several on the house this week but not quite like this one.
