This observation is not famous for its content, as it presents a photograph of a well-known alga growing over moss; The 2nd photograph shows the habitat of the site where it was found, which is also somewhat dubious in terms of aesthetics: a collapsing wall on the side of the road, delimiting a rural property, a very common scenario in this area; However, this is the site where I have so far found the greatest diversity of Collemataceae, a family of lichens whose constituent species have precisely Nostoc as a supporting alga; So my following observations are devoted to these lichens.
