Three females found on Griselinia littoralis, Coprosma robusta, and Laurus nobilis, respectively. The last two photos depict the second and third specimens, the latter of which was found dead on the bay tree trunk — possibly having died in the act of oviposition..? A probable fourth observed on bay foliage but lost.
I swear I've seen these somewhere before...
Larva found by Heidi_q. On host plant, Muehlenbeckia axillaris. We also saw 1 male boulder copper adult that was too quick to photograph. This is the first known adult seen this season at Silverstream Reserve.
