Tiny black football-shaped or eye-shaped sporocarps. Margin dark teal in coloration. Larger, open sporocarps with a bumpy, teal-grey, almost gelatinous looking matrix filling the internal contents of the "eye"

Large, fleshy mushroom with a brown, finely fibrillose pileus. Lamellae white when young and turning dungy brown and the pinkish in age. White, fleshy annulus present in younger specimens, becoming reduced or disappearing in age. Long, rooting, fibrous stipe that comes to a point, slightly yellow at base
Taste slightly sour

Incredibly dense, yellow pores. Velutinous white/off white cap. Bulbous stipe base, stipe apex and pores oxidize blue when cut. Base of stipe brown and then yellow at substrate attachment point.
Smell slightly rubbery
Taste bitter
KOH brown on all parts
Orange UV fluorescence where there was blue oxidation, pores and bulbous stipe base glows yellow

i'm split between Galerina (G. marginata seems to match all characteristics except for the cap, which seems more striate than i would expect from G. marginata, and what appears to be the lack of a ring or even a ring zone) and Tubaria furfuracea, which... idk, the vibes are a little off, and i normally find that on wood chips. tho i guess it can just be on a wood log too.

Growing in mossy open area on edge of Doug fir bay toyon forest between two Doug firs

Taste slowly spicy, leaving tounge tingling
