Field Notes - Robust velvet gecko. So cute!
Field Notes - Most of the geckoes we see here are Nebulifera robusta, but this is quite different with its yellow dots across a dark brown matrix. This one has lost its tail so we cannot confirm from that, but we have heard gecko barking noises since, and we do not have any Asian geckoes here.
Field Notes - On our window at night. Wingspan about 35mm.
Field Notes - We saw about 8 of these robust velvet geckos around the house in various stages of colour development
Robust Velvet Gecko (Oedura robusta) near Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. Photographed on 16 December 2007
Field Notes - Found this beautiful creature hiding behind some jackets in the cupboard.
Field Notes - Almost always find these when we clean behind picture frames
