Elevation 3,000ft. Conifer dominant canopy. Snowmelt close in proximity to fruiting.
This lovely lilac-toned species is reminiscent of Phlegmacium subolivascens sensu PNW, but distinct enough to be considered likely novel. Approx 95% similar to
-Found growing at the base of a dead pine stump.
-Fire burn scar area.
-Volcanic soil.
-Elevation approx. 8,000ft on Mt. Kendrick Trail.
-Growing Alone.
-Bruised blue instantly upon cutting.
-Brighter yellow coloring than I have seen on any other Boletes in the region.
-No spore print taken yet
