I've loved animals and nature for as long as I can remember. Birds are and always have been my absolute favorite. I adore everything about them. I have participated in the Georgia state birding competition a few times.

Insects and spiders are a more recent facination of mine. I started photographing bugs for fun when I was a young teen. I quickly discovered the website Bugguide.net and that's where I learned most of what I know. It's always amazing to me when I find a species I've never seen before, bug or otherwise.
