I'm inquisitive by nature and iNaturalist has fine tuned my attention to the world around me. I feel like I'm on a treasure hunt looking for plants and animals. The downside is hiking now takes FOREVER since I'm stopping constantly to make observations. I've been hiking and exploring Point Reyes National Seashore intensely for several years. In June 2016 I completed the California Naturalist certification in Point Reyes -- it's been a great way to get immersed in environmental science and to meet others with the same interests in West Marin.
