I am a homeschooled Christian and hobbyist macro photographer, most interested in the diverse order Araneae (spiders)! These eight-legged arachnids will capture me in their captivating webs and weave threads of intrigue over me for eternity! I am also working on a field guide to all spider families in the world (though it's far from finished!).
I actively (usually) monitor spiders in Ohio, USA, and spiders within the superfamily Palpimanoidea. If you are in need of assistance, feel free to "@" or message me anytime! While I can’t guarantee a precise identification and might occasionally make mistakes, I can usually identify spiders below family level and/or find someone more experienced who can help.
My camera gear includes the Canon EOS 2000D (Rebel T7) camera with an EF-S 18-55mm IS II lens (kit lens), a Shoot Autofocus 14-65mm macro extension tube, a cheap flash, and a homemade diffuser. Most of my recent photographs are focus-stacked, using Focus Stacking Online, typically comprising more than 40 images. Due to this all, my photographs aren't so great, but I will upgrade... eventually!
My photographs are published under the CC-BY license, allowing organizations like Wikipedia and GBIF are free to use them, as well as everyone else, as long as I am credited as the photographer, under my real name. I can also be found on Flickr.
The spider in my profile image is Oxyopes aglossus. You can view it here!
