Greetings! I am an educator and naturalist at the Albany Pine Bush Preserve, a Northeastern interior (inland) pine barrens ecosystem in Albany, New York. The Albany Pine Bush is composed of a patchwork of ecological communities, the rarest of which is the pitch pine-scrub oak barrens.

I have a strong interest in moths and find it most gratifying to encounter them in the field where I can observe their diurnal habits. I also frequently set up a mercury vapor lamp on my back porch to attract individuals on clear nights.
