I find purpose and inspiration in the natural world with a focus on macrofungi. Originally from the lower midwest, these days I collect, study, and photograph fungi from what feels like a remote outpost at the southern end of the Columbia Mountains of northeast Washington and north Idaho. I find it perpetually rewarding. All macrofungi interest me, though I give special attention to the genera Tricholoma and Cortinarius.
