... and sometimes just I can't explain it

I get to see things sometimes in a way that makes me really wonder.

That 'little orange moth' I noticed from a distance

  • It turned out to be a wheel bug nymph molting, and I got to watch the molt!

A flash of yellow out of the corner of my eye

Why was I there? It seems like something beyond mere luck. Everyone has their own belief system through which they process such events.
For me, I feel that I was granted a special grace to see and to bear witness to these wonders. And I am grateful.

Yet another nymph (this makes 3!) seen within 10-12 feet of each other. But is beetle (64212746) on the menu? No moves while I was watching, anyway.

Watching small bumblebees work over late flowers, and saw a flash of yellow to my right - what is that, a garden spider? NO!!!! What is that?! So fortunate to see this. With so many bumbles nearby, she must have set up her web near their nest. I just happened to be there when she caught one. She was out of her leaf shelter very briefly to secure it, and then again - I think to quickly repair the web. So lucky to be there and glance over at the right time! I tried to trick her out again by throwing a small spent blossom into the web. Nope. She's smarter than that. I have to be happy with the limited shots I got. And I am!
