I am very interested in native plants (native to wherever I am at the moment), photography, and fungi. I am a participant and supporter of community science. I enjoy learning from others and helping others when I can. My mycology hobby began in 2012. I have been coordinating the annual Mushroom Discovery program at the San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden since 2018 and began annual explorations of the Arizona Sky Islands during the 2019 summer monsoon season. My most recent (January 2022) project is an ongoing mushroom survey of Pinnacles National Park. I love exploring the biodiversity of this amazing planet and the never ending opportunities for learning and discovering!
