I am a naturalist and environmental educator currently offering a wide variety of natural history programs at Hidden Villa in Los Altos, CA, where my job title is Senior Naturalist. I try to notice all life forms and treat them with equal curiosity and respect. As a naturalist I've focused especially on birding, wildlife tracking, mammalogy, herpetology, the fungi, and butterflies. Currently (early 2023) my foremost growth area is in the insect realm. I have a special interest in the odd and wonderful world of plant/insect coevolution as observed in the ecology of plant galls.
