I am a trained and practicing ornithologist. I have done field work and research on shorebirds and sea ducks in the Arctic / subarctic, and seabirds in the South Atlantic. In the not too distant past, I also worked on vegetation projects, primarily in Alaska. Currently exploring on the Central California coast.
