I am co-author of Plants of the Jemez Mountains, a three-volume work co-authored with Terelene Foxx. I studied plant ecology 45 years ago at the University of Delaware, but my jobs with state and national parks did more to get me into the field to learn plants. Since retiring as the Los Alamos County Open Space Specialist eight years ago, I've had more time to seek out and photograph the plants of the Jemez and beyond. I help at the Jemez Mountain Herbarium at the Los Alamos Nature Center and serve as the President of the Friends of Bandelier. In 2021 I decided that my next goal is to have at least one iNaturalist observation of a plant from all 50 states...47 down, slower going from here!
