Hello,
I've always loved nature and all living things. A little over a decade ago I discovered birds and birding. I had no idea birding was a thing at the time! Birding really opened my eyes to what's happening to our environment. They literally changed my entire life and how I see the world. Goal to see more than 750 spp in the ABA area.
Now broadening my horizons to, well, everything else.
Except maybe not Diptera yet. Identifying them might even be harder than gulls. I am really enjoying discovering the beauty in these tiny creatures I never knew existed. And, staying up way past my bedtime in the hopes for a cool new moth.
I love the joy of discovering something new and the process of learning new things. Thank you for all the contributors who are assisting me in identifications.
Edit: Aug 24 - Now that I've been active for a couple of months, I've made it a goal to make as many ID's for others as the number of observations I submit. I still have some catching up to do as I type this. The moths, leafhoppers, beetles etc do not get the attention that the birds do!
