Biologist, MS. Botanist by profession. I work as junior specialist at the Herbarium Universitatis Lodziensis (LOD), University of Łódź, Poland. I am associated with Department of Geobotany and Plant Ecology.
I chose botany as my main passion when I was about 13 years old and consequently I gathered basic knowledge on my own. In earnest I entered the botany being around 20 years old after my first contact with dichotomous key books & websites and the LOD (as a student volunteer).
Vascular plants are my favourite and an object of my scientific study. I am less skilled but still quite good at fungi, insects and birds about which I have been learning since many years. Recently, I have entered tropical botany and I try my hand at plant systematics & mosses+liverworts. As a naturalist I also like paleontology (fossils) together with geology.
My knowledge generally focus on European flora, especially Polish but also Mediterranean one. I am skilled horticulturist owning a nice collection of plants. I am devoted to citizen science and I always try to share my knowledge.
