The New Zealand Curriculum gives us the message that the Nature of Science strand is very important. Through this strand, students learn what science is and how scientists work – students learn to think and behave like scientists.

What is a Ecoblitz?
A Ecoblitz is a communal citizen-science effort to record as many species within a designated location and time period as possible.
You will make some observations related to the work you will do in the Oceans unit. This unit about inter relationship between marine organisms and human impact on their survival.

Your observations MUST be from and around your local beach at low tide. All entries close in week 6 of Term 4. (Recommended area is Campbell's Beach, North Shore).
