It looks like a very tiny isopod. It’s 1mm long.
I took a small piece of liverwort growing “wild” in a greenhouse with me for microscopy and later noticed this moving in the sample I took.

From sediment sampling

Found on the legs of Anombrocheir spinosa

Under a log at the edge of a small fresh water wetland

Streamside in chaparral, under wet well-decayed Artemisia californica branch and one under a rock.

Found under the rock. Adult female has about 5 mm

Possibly - host: Oniscus asellus & Armadillidium sp. (Maybe opacum)

Very small Porcellio laevis

In captive culture, appeared after death.

Didnt realize it was an armadillid until i was editing. i think better photos were taken of it but i didnt manage to collect it sadly as i was too distracted by mosquitos to get a good look.

Manca(e), presumably of the adult T. rathkii that was on the same log.

Under a stone, associated with argentine ants.

Under sycamore bark

3 mm nose to body rear. Found by digging up some moss and shaking it over a grey plastic table. This sowbug fell on the table.
