Hibiscus pentaphyllus (NOT H. caesia) in the Tunnel Creek National Park, North of Fitzroy Crossing, Kimberleys, Western Australia. August 2021.
Hairy leaves and flower stem. Back petals keeled over more than typical V. hederacea. Leaves not as strongly toothed as V. Perreniformis. Other more typical form of V. hederacea found growing close by. Only one flower was present.
Small crayfish with dark grey body orange brown flanks and sky blue claws. Fine spines over body claws and legs. Found under rock in burrow In basalt spring with Cyathea spp. Treeferns Diplazium and Pollia. Rainforest regrowth 805m altitude.
