Found on trail while on the way back from Puʻukawipoʻo. Collected on 05/05/23 @12:13PM, and delivered to Bishop Museum.

There were 10 hanging out together. I have never seen this before.

White underbelly and shorter bill with blue base and black tip is really strange. It was significantly larger than a typical Little Blue Heron, with a longer neck than usual for that species.
