Not a rare seaweed but takes some IDing. A detailed examination is required. It is a nice and delicate red but discolours quickly at the strandline. It can be confused with Membranoptera alata (Winged weed) but the latter does not have the lovely leaflets at midribs.
Under the microscope it is spectacular (most delicate reds are).
To get the best photos, they will need laying on a white board or light table and teased out wet with a fine art brush.

Identified using a spicule prep. This sponge often shows a white star pattern when submerged.
The third picture shows Cladostephus spongiosus (right) directly next to Cladostephus hirsutus (left, https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/98110158) collected from the same site at the same date.
