Mostly found between 70 and 90 ft. This is the short form that grows on soft sediments on the lee shore. Individual stipes were only 1-2 m, blades were up to 10 m and lay on the bottom. There is one photo of sporangia on the blade and several photos of young sporophytes just beginning to split.
