Egg mass of unknown species. Found under a boulder in a low intertidal pool. Left portion of scale bar in 2nd image in mm. I collected a small piece of this mass to hold until I can see who hatches... see my comment of 21 April below.

@ipat @susanhewitt @clauden these were abundant in the shell hash near salt marsh. largest was 8mmx 5mm. Smallest 4mm x 3mm. interesting spines on outer valve surface. ID = best guess from examining Cardiidae in area,
