Growing in Sphagnum peat. Unclear if P. a. americanus or P. a. australis.
Seen within main lakes area of Park. Observed on the white quartzite hills on OSA Lake if memory serves. Heard characteristic song first.
hinge teeth absent, beak not elevated above hinge line, shell quite thin, beak w double loops, 9-10 cm long
Almost all living specimens found had damage to shell as seen in some photos.
