I was driving home from a morning of photography up on the Cascade Lakes Highway. I got lucky and saw the Mount Bachelor Sierra Nevada Red Fox crossing the road. I pulled over and it stopped and gave me a couple looks. Just enough time for a few pics.

There is a small population at Dana point harbor of these strange all white squirrels. Are they albino or leucistic? What species are they? Why are there so many of them at this one site? They hang out in the rocks at the end of the point, over the bridge and down to the left.

What an incredible encounter! I was just past Panorama Point, searching for White-tailed Ptarmigan when I turned around and saw it running up the snow towards me. It stopped and stared at me for a minute, before bouncing up the snow and continuing up the ridge following before going up and over the ridge and out of view. I got some great photos and took a few videos as well. Quite a surreal experience.
