Widespread on natural rocky spots around Antalya city.
Compared to S. bombycina -

• more coastal
• calyx teeth have obvious hardened tips
• calyx teeth curve outward on maturity
• flower whorls are more numerous and somewhat aggregate together at the ends in large clumps (quite striking on the dead stems)
• flowers clear white background with purple markings (not pinky background)

• vegetative parts less woolly which becomes thin fairly quickly and generally lost by full maturity (beware younger forms as it can start off a little woolly especially around the calyx)

Inflorescence eglandular, flower buds elliptic, on long pedicels, usually deflexed. Outer and inner sepals linear to elliptic (with none or very few dark spots).
Flowers can be either cleistogamous (do not open) or chamogamous (do open with showy petals)
