Sadly these are feathers from a dead Painted Button-quail. Advice from Birdlife WA: “... we do get Painted Button-quail here in Bold Park and Kings Park but I couldn’t see any records for Lake Monger, so perhaps an aviary escapee.”
Lake Monger is nearby but across a freeway. I checked various sources and could also only find nearby records at Bold Park and Kings Park, not Lake Monger, so I agree it’s likely to be an aviary escapee. This is not certain, so I haven’t identified it as a captive individual.
