This observation was made by Brice Stanislaw, who then gave me permission to create a record for this project. Here are his observation comments: "Discovered close to 100 dead nymph stage salamanders today. I had no idea we had this many or this size of salamanders here in Battle Creek Michigan USA! They were only along the North Bank of a cemetery pond we discovered while taking a walk. The ice still covering the other side. It's warmed up to the 40's & low 50's the past week. We had a severe deep freeze a few weeks ago that lasted for 2 or 3 weeks." Some dead frogs were also present, possibly bullfrogs.
