M. fasciculata? Don't have a key for ascos, but looks crowded enough
Observation includes two colonies growing directly adjacent to one another on the same log. Photos 1-3 showcase a colony which had begun to fruit prior to my collection, displaying spectacular iridescence exceeding even any Lamproderma I've found. Photos 4-6 document a colony from plasmodium growing adjacent to the first which I collected as very primordial sporocarps and allowed to mature in a moist chamber over ~24 hrs. These grew in an aggregate fashion and displayed very little iridescence. Capillitium sparse. Neither seemed to contain any lime nodes, although they did appear to have minute pseudocolumellae within their sporangia (slightly visible in photo 2).
