Red-topped and stringy. First photo shows this red-topped stringy type amid a green stringy type. Second photo shows this red stringy type, the green stringy type, and a green bushy type growing together. (Each of the three is submitted as a separate observation.). Third photo shows general habitat for this red stringy type and the two other types in a swampy woods east of Fuller Lake.

This specimen was collected by Dr. Carol Loeffler as https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/71978497 and sent to me for ID. Red stem visible through leaves. No resorption furrow. Branch leaf 1.5 x 0.5mm, stem leaf 1.0 x 0.8mm. Branch leaves: small ringed pores in hyaline cells in leaf tip, large ringed pores in leaf base.

Came across this photo of GREG LASLEY, one of my favorite iNat folks, and HAD to include as an observation. Realizing it may be "frivolous" info to some, I want to document how much help he has been to me and so many iNaturalists.
GREG LASLEY went above and beyond to fulfill his promise to speak to my Texas Master Naturalist chapter in Milam County, Texas on this date. This photo of GREG LASLEY was taken in Rockdale,Texas, while he was sharing his observations, experiences, and photographic skills with my El Camino Real Texas Master Naturalist Chapter.

Not quite at 3000 observations, but I hit 50k IDs so good enough for me.
Baklava is nearly one year old! And as handsome as ever.
Some of my favourite recent interactions:
"Baklava, why is your hand in the beans? Please.... stop. no" -- this morning
"Hey Baklavush, I'm home. Who's a handsome boy? ... stop, Baklava, stop it. Shoes are not for eating."
"Hey! Baklava-- אין לי כח עליך (I have no more energy to deal with you) -- stop knocking things off my desk!" (one minute later) "MEOOWWWH. AAAOO. MEAOW." "Baklava, shut up! I'm not letting you outside!" (one minute later) "meaOWWW...."

Street Sign Singer
I followed the song & found the singer on top of a street sign.

Telling The World
The mockingbird was letting the world know that this was its territory. In a most melodious unique way. Ignored me and kept right on singing.

Full-throated Song
Some of the song was done using a cool technique of filling its throat with air and singing with the bill all or mostly closed.

Big Finale
For the finale, the mocker threw its head back, filled its throat with air, opened the beak more and ended with a trill that went up in pitch with a flourish then cut off on a high note. Then it flew off. I applauded.
