This observation is featured in POWO and Flowers of India as Zingiber cernuum Dalzell.
Zingiber cernuum Dalzell and Zingiber nimmonii (J.Graham) Dalzell are confusingly close in superficial appearance; hope we find some study done on its natural distribution in Konkan and Western Ghats of Maharashtra to resolve any ambiguity(s).
