If you were a cicada and looked up and saw image 1, it might mean you are about to have a bad day. We saw at least 12 individuals today, several times all 12 were in view at the same time high in the air and vocalizing. A spectacular sight!
The coolest find of the night. Both the wasp and the fungus were stunning.

Not sure what is going on but this is the fourth birder that I know of who has had a phoebe perch on their binoculars or on their person at Commons Ford.
I believe this is an American Kestrel dive bombing the red tailed hawk.
