Christmas Bird Count on New Year's with Tania. Cold and drizzling in the morning, but the temperature got more reasonable in the afternoon.
Had a pretty successful day -- observed 64 species in our zone and 104 species in our circle.
Several of these observations are of the same species but they're from different locations and belong to different populations (I think).
Also, I didn't spend too long getting great pictures -- just ID'able ones. Forgive the poor shots. :)
@sambiology @charley @lulubelle can you guys confirm this one. I found this guy at Elmer W. Oliver. This guy was in some dense forested area of the park. It was heavily spotted and looks like it had some of the markings of the Ovenbird on the crown and the face. I think I see an orange spot on the head. If it is one then I have another lifer on my hands.
