Unusually large and somewhat elongated whelks—3-4 inches long.
Watched make it to ocean. Much safer there with cars and predators on the shore. Hopefully it survived.
On Osoberry (Rosaceae: Oemleria cerasiformis). Predated on by a crab spider (Thomisidae).
