Seems pretty widespread here, being found in Sandrin tract, the county forest, Ipperwash, and the Ausable. Morning emerald swarms, during very muggy days, seem to consist of this species, Williamson’s and smaller, stouter species which have gone unidentified… Potentially brush tipped or clamp tipped.

Photos not great but here our notes from eBird checklist - Very large, heavy bodied jaeger with hunch necked, broad bodied GISS, easily dismissed as a dark northern type 1b HERG. Dark juvenile, nearly uniform gray brown overall (appearing very saturated in the field), dark nape, some upper and undertail barring, blunt central rectrices. No upperwing flash, hint of double flash below (of dubious value). Cruised in with languid beats and a bit of lazy side shearing. Our fof.
