http://mothphotographersgroup.msstate.edu/species.php?hodges=5896
Length < 1 cm. Feet adhere to all surfaces from skin to smooth plastic. May be a click beetle. Drawn to black light.
This plant is very low growing because it's being mowed regularly at a interstate roadside rest area. 2021-TX-1152

Closest I could get to matching pronotum and wing pattern. Beetle was found on Psilostrophe tagetina, and BugGuide lists Asteraceae as food source.
