Female(?) accompanied by male(?) barred owl from https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/165354644
Landed on my husband in our backyard unprompted while we were watching our toddler play with her water table
Identified as Black-throated Gray Warbler by Merlin Sound ID. The "voice" seems right, but the sounds don't seem to match other recordings, at least to my ears
Audio #1: edited to highlight vocalizations of the target warbler (possibly BTGW). Time between vocalizations has been trimmed and is not accurate.
Audio #2: full recording.
There are three, yes, only three bird species in this recording. One is the White-crowned Sparrow, another is the Western Wood-Pewee, and all other calls are the European Starling showcasing its mimicry skills.
Species it is imitating: Mallard, American Robin, American Crow, Red-tailed Hawk, California Quail, and probably others that I failed to recognize.
