At a pool in San Clemente, in a yard in Lake Forest, Near a park in a Aliso Viejo.
This seal was resting on a sailing dock and seemed to be a little bit ill. It was orangish and white with black spots. It was about 5 feet long and a foot wide.
Not really sure how to distinguish this from a California Turret Spider. But based on the fact that I found it under a rock and not in a turret I'm guessing False Tarantula.
Coyote Creek Parkway.
Previously observed and confirmed inhabited in Fall 2023. https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/194004672
This nest received some damage in the winter storms. It will be interesting to see if it gets repaired and remains inhabited.
