Known population. The recent observation of Malaxis bayardii that @natemarchessault posted spurred me to take a look at a population on MV. Seems to be holding its own. I noticed that one plant had the top of its leaf nibbled off (last photo) though.

Known population - Happy to be a part of the Malaxis bayardii graduating class of 2023!

Two specimens seen, one was easily accessible and looked worse for wear (most flowers missing, no leaf) but appeared to be pollenated. The pictured specimen was much deeper in the brush and I have the scars and rash to prove it (protected on all sides by a dense cover of Green Briar, Holly, and Poison Ivy)

I will be reporting more details and a few more photos to the state. I have obscured all my other observations from the site on this day.
