I collected this major from a colony in my yard, which is large enough to have a steady stream of minor workers coming in and out carrying seeds and debris. They are nesting in a relatively sandy patch of my yard, alongside species like Lasius neoniger and Tetramorium immigrans.
Tiny little ant. ZOOM IN. 1.5 mm. I don't think it is the common argentine ant. It is in my house just now. Ant has dark brown head and light brown-reddish tint thorax and abdomen.
Colonies were all over the clearing underneath the powerlines, colonies ranging from several workers to low 100s were very common.
