Caught in shallow (1.6m) sand-mud flats on a falling tide (1.5 hrs before ebb).

Field Notes - It was caught by my son at an estuary in Forster. It was approx. 17cm in length so we let it go.
Mackerel Reef (21-466) - Booby Bird live-aboard trip
Poor quality shot but shows the lazy way to image fish (at a roadside pullover, creek then passed under a culvert ) in a tiny creek flowing steeply towards coast over large boulders. We stopped just long enough for me to squat on edge and stick camera into a little rock pool which had clear fresh water and lots of small fish!
