Species were observed in a wooded area near one of Lake Nevin’s boardwalks from lake level extending up to about 200 feet into the woods above the lake. Since their greenish blue light intensity were much dimmer than other species in the area, they were best observed in very low light conditions after 10pm EDT. Species were observed flying from inches above ground level to about 3 feet. Their light emission time were observed to be from between 10 to 45 seconds. Two specimens were captured. The first was 7 mm (.28 inch) long by 3 mm (.12 inch) wide. The second was 5 mm (.20 inch) long by 2 mm (.08 inch) wide.
