Many thanks to Marshal Hedin for posting an observation of this species, which caught my eye recently and revealed the existence of "sprickets" to me for the first time. We were able to find two at this location, both in protected, moist, mossy habitat under rocks with moderate soil contact, i.e. with gaps and places to retreat to. The geology seemed to be broken shale or mudstone, a finder grade of sedimentary than sandstone, at least.
Behaviorally these were very ant-like, active but generally halting after moving short distances. When revealed they seemed to freeze, but soon they would seek cover. This male never unfurled its amazing palps.
