Thumping around the eaves of my house alerted me to a gory scene this morning. Vultures had been attracted to fresh roadkill out front (probably happened in the wee hours of the morning) and were landing on surrounding roofs and fences (mine included) when scared up by passing cars.
I'm impressed at how fast the birds -- there were about 5 -- found the poor little corpse. It wasn't there yesterday evening.
