I am a textile engineer by training, but a naturalist at heart. I grew up on an alfalfa farm in mid-Michigan and spent most of my early years outside, in the fields, camping and boating UpNorth, and honing my observation skills. I’m especially interested in native plants, edible plants, and invasive plants and have become fascinated by the world of insects that are all over these plants. I’m a generalist, and I love to keep learning.
