Hello, I have lived in Closter for about 7 years. I am really concerned about climate change and mass extinction. The United Nations’ Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services has conducted a global assessment to determine loss of species, ecosystems, and genetic diversity. The early science suggests that we are experiencing a mass extinction event. I feel like we can all be citizen scientists and begin to survey our communities for diversity and the presence of stressors that might be contributing to species and ecosystem loss. I am hoping other citizens in my community will feel the same way. -Bryce
