An overall naturalist, I am an avid birder and have experience bird banding, mostly in Texas. I love trees, flowers, butterflies and bumblebees. I am a member of Audubon, Bumblebee Watch and the Xerces. I am a former employee of The Nature Conservancy, where my hubby, Jim and I managed Dolan Falls Preserve in West Texas. I worked one summer at Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach, Oregon, interpreting tide-pool life and many summers at Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, in Ilwaco, Washington, as a nature and historical interpreter. Jim and I worked one summer as rangers on Cypress Island in the San Juans in Washington State. We did sage brush bird and hawk surveys in Eastern Washington. Enjoying nature keeps me going!
